Currently working as a Consultant and Interim Manager in Digital Media. With many years of experience in the Broadcast Television, production studios, sports sector with a specialty in studio design and operations.

High profile consultant specialising in Digital Media Strategy and broadcast operations with high emphasis on client service and business development.

My most recent employment was Director of Operations for Peel Media. I was part of the start-up team, planning the design, technology, workflow and operational innovation for MediaCityUK at Salford Quays, Manchester. MediaCityUK is the new home of five BBC departments. The site included eight High Definition studios, music studios and post production. The site was home for Salford University and its Media school and I worked on the design of the University studios.

Previously I was Head of Production at Sky Television where I was head of eight departments, with a team of over 300 running the studio operations. The role included advising on the use of television for Corporate and Internal Communications. I was also highly involved in the planning of their new Harlequin Broadcast Centre, the introduction of High Definition Television and tapeless workflow to the Sky Platform. I was also in charge of Health and Safety across Broadcast Operations reporting to the Executive.

I gained International Sports experience as Managing Director of Charter Broadcast, with offices in Europe, Asia, Australia and America. The company supplied facilities to the Sports Broadcasters responsible for transmitting major sporting events such as the World Cup, Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and International cricket coverage.

I have been a keynote speaker at several industry conferences, which led to Broadcast Magazine inviting me to be the Chair of the Broadcast Digital Workflow Conference in London earlier this year.

Five years’ experience in Corporate Live Events, business and Government Communications.

Government work has involved working for the Technology Strategy Board on various Digital Media initiatives and assessments.
